Since nappa leather is porous and absorbs water easily, avoid getting them wet. Getting the shoes soaking wet can irrevocably stain the leather.

Most quality shoe repair shops will offer products to polish, protect, and refresh the leather's surface. A neutral cream polish—one without color—will also help protect the surface from scuffs and scrapes and keep the leather hydrated. If something's spilled on the leather, try using a soft cloth with a small amount of cleanser or cream on it. Rub the surface in a circular motion, then allow the shoe to dry before buffing the entire thing lightly with a dry, clean cloth.

"I love these heeled sandals! I was debating between the medium and wide width because I have wider feet and had read that Margaux shoes can run narrow. I reached out to Margaux’s customer service, and they responded quickly with helpful sizing advice. I’m typically a US 7. 5, but I ordered a size 7 in the standard width. I think a 6. 5 may have worked as well since your foot naturally slides forward a bit with the heel height, and the front strap isn’t overly snug. For anyone trying to decide, I measured the widest part of my foot at approximately 4 inches. The widest part of the shoe measures about 3¾ inches. My foot extends slightly past the sides of the shoe, but it isn’t noticeable when worn. I hope these measurements help anyone with wider feet who is deciding between widths!"

"I love these shoes and would buy them again. My second pair of Margeauxs - both pairs packed up with me on my European vacation. They are very comfortable and beautiful. My only fuss with these in particular is that the front of the shoe is wearing/scuffing strangely. Also buy a 1/2 size down!"

"As with other styles by this brand, foot bed was cut very narrow especially across the toes,for the size. Had to return the style because that’s not going to work for me for a sandal with a heel, at all. I ordered the wide width, anticipating this, but it was still not wide enough although now the straps on top were way too loose. My feet are not even wide at all. I have a normal width foot."
