Since calf leather is porous and absorbs water easily, avoid getting them wet. Getting the shoes soaking wet can irrevocably stain the leather, but if they just get a bit wet, stuffing the toe area with clean, un-dyed paper or cloth and letting them dry naturally, without heat, can help them to recover.

Most quality shoe repair shops will offer products to polish, protect, and refresh the leather's surface. A neutral cream polish—one without color—will also help protect the surface from scuffs and scrapes and keep the leather hydrated. If something's spilled on the leather, try using a soft cloth with a small amount of cleanser or cream on it. Rub the surface in a circular motion, then allow the shoe to dry before buffing the entire thing lightly with a dry, clean cloth.

Reviews

Very pretty but

"Very pretty but it doesn’t fit well. I am 7. 5 and it fits my left foot perfectly but so tight on the right. I usually don’t have this significant fit difference. I have already used it for a walk around the city and interview and obviously got complements about it. Wish it was a bit more comfy. Also show is a bit “deep” hitting my ankles but that a minor problem compared to fit. I wish they would make the heels more “soft” because I always prefer a quiet shoe and hoped that this would be what I’d get because it’s Margaux. Not a clacking one. Overall i am happy with aesthetics but hesitant to get a new pair."

I will buy again!

"Color just beautiful and comfortable for my narrow feet."

Off to a good start!

"I’ve only worn these a couple of times so far but if they hold up, I’m ready to love them. Very polished and elevate a casual outfit (jeans). Also great for work since I don’t like wearing heels these days. Comfy too. Run a bit large in my opinion so I had to return for 1/2 size down. Exchange process was quick and easy."

Beautiful but not comfortable for wider or non-traditional feet

"I really wanted to love the Parra in Praline Nappa because the design is elegant and the color is gorgeous. Unfortunately, the fit just didn’t work for me. The shoe felt quite stiff and noticeably narrow, especially through the toe box, and I was expecting a higher level of comfort at this price point. I tried exchanging for different sizes multiple times, hoping to find the right fit, but none of them worked. The overall structure just isn’t forgiving if your foot isn’t very narrow. I ended up returning the Parra and exchanging it for the Phoebe style, which was a completely different experience. The Phoebe is much more comfortable and accommodating, especially for non-traditional foot shapes. I loved them so much I ended up buying two pairs in the same color. If you have narrow feet and prefer a structured, firm shoe, the Parra may work for you. Otherwise, I would recommend trying the Phoebe instead."

So supportive

"I work on my feet and have worn flats exclusively for over 20 years. I finally found a pair with arch support that don’t leave me feeling more sore than after running 10 miles. These shoes are chic, timeless and stylish but truly supportive and comfortable. Glad i ordered wide because otherwise they would probably have been too small or snug. Definitely will be purchasing in other colors."

I loved the look and

"I loved the look and overall comfort but I wore these for about 3 hours for our civil ceremony and the skin around the toe tips immediately chipped/flaked. Was hoping the quality would be higher considering the price tag."

Esther L. (1/5)

Commutable, comfy and cunty

"Great to see a variety of sizes and widths. It must be unsustainable because not many brands do it and every brand I've bought from that does this ends up closing, so I hope Margaux won’t have the same fate. In a landscape of plastic or “vegan leather” shoes that always break down and feel like crap to wear. it’s great to have the option to buy shoes that are comfortable, with quality materials, a high end build, beautiful designs to look at, and to wear. I went with the Parra because I only wear pointy toe shoes (im trans so need all the help i can get and pointy toe are the most flattering shoe shape) the color was the burgundy because that color looks great on me. I live in New York and I needed a shoe that i could commute in and that it wasn’t a sneaker. I don't like flats, i wear heels all the time, so for me to dish out 400 for a pair of flats is something unheard of, this speaks to the design of the Parra. When I got them they felt silky, comfy, soft and padded. It had ARCH SUPPORT! The only “bad” thing was that it was a 43EU sizing and it sold as a 12. Normally I always struggle with EU sizing, I’ve been able to feet in 42-43 i have not been able to put my foot thru a 44-45. If i had known that from the start I would’ve picked another size. I would say that if you are a 12 go for the 44. But the burgundy was no longer available in another size and it’s fine. Ive squeezed into even terrible fitting shoe(this is normal for trans people) but the customer experience representative even offered to put a special order for another size. Which i appreciated but said no because i wanted my shoes now. The wide width fits like Stuart Weitzman shoes(pointed toe) i hope that helps anyone looking for a sizing reference. Beautiful shoes, great service, will buy another pair. My suggestion for making easier to make orders of shoes, open preorders. I will be more willing to fully preorder a shoe, instead of having them drop out of nowhere and missing out the shoes my size(looking st you COLETTE in dune and black and many ither)"

Unco

"I found these shoes to be very uncomfortable. Not sure I will wear them again 😢"

Patty N. (2/5)

Pretty shoe !

"It is a beautiful shoe. I had to return these, though. I just couldn’t get the fit right for me. I have a narrow foot which I have loved to be being able to order narrows from you. . this particular shoe runs a little long and I still couldn’t get the heel or the look of the shoe to be right for me."

Sexy flats

"I love these gorgeous, sexy flats! I had tried the Romas in 3 different sizes/widths without success. After speaking with a very helpful woman at Margaux to sort out the issues, I decided to try the Parrasin my normal size 37. 5 but in a wide width. Success! I like these much better and they are as comfortable as they are beautiful."
