We use a special calf leather with a natural water-wicking quality due to the tanning process used. It is a waxed, high-shine leather, which helps to avoid water penetrating the material the way it might with a nappa or other type of smooth leather. This boot is appropriate for light rain or snow but should not be worn in heavy rain or as a snowboot. The material is water-resistant, not waterproof and damage can still be incurred.
